The UK airline to provide free fast in-flight connectivity by way of space-based deal

Flyers flying with the airline will soon use quick wifi onboard free of charge after a new agreement involving the billionaire's satellite provider.

No-cost and Quick Connectivity Across the Board

The airline announced that the complimentary, “quick and reliable” internet service from Starlink becomes offered for travelers in economy, premium economy, or first class from next month.

Expanded Implementation Across Several Carriers

The umbrella company of British Airways, International Airlines Group, stated it had reached an deal with the satellite firm for providing wifi services for more than 500 aircraft across the group's operators, which also include the Irish airline, the Spanish carrier, plus the low-cost airline.

Seamless Wifi from Boarding through Arrival

BA explained that the implementation of this system formed part of a multi-billion pound “transformation” plan and would offer smooth internet coverage to travelers from the gate to arrival, also when traveling above large bodies of water or remote regions.
