A woman indicted with stalking Kate McCann reportedly deposited her a recorded message which posed: "what if I am Madeleine?"

The defendant, 24, who witnesses stated has repeatedly claimed she was the disappeared Madeleine McCann, and Karen Spragg are facing charges charged with pursuing Kate and Gerry McCann from June 2022 and February the current year.

On Monday, the tribunal learned communication data and information retrieved from phones recorded Ms Wandelt persistently requesting Madeleine's mother for a DNA test throughout the past two years.

Madeleine's case in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a vacation in Portugal - is one of the most covered investigations and remains unsolved.

'I Do Not Need Money'

One voicemail, played in court, captured Ms Wandelt saying: "I realize I'm fat and plain like Madeleine was, but I know what I know."

While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's voicemail stated: "Suppose there is a small chance that I am Madeleine? Then what? Isn't that crucial for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I possess a existence here in Poland, I just want to know," the recording stated.

The tribunal was advised that through electronic messages, mobile messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt requested a genetic test, transmitted childhood photos to her phone in a attempt to show a similarity to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and asserted to have "memories" from a youth with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, an intelligence analyst with law enforcement who compiled the evidence, informed the court there "seemed to lack any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt additionally communicated with family friends of the McCanns, based on the communication logs.

On that date, Mr McCann answered a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "incorrect contact information."

On that occasion Ms Wandelt left a voicemail on Mrs McCann's answerphone saying "I will continue and I intend to demonstrate my point."

The court heard the co-defendant struck up a relationship through digital means with Ms Wandelt prior to accompanying her on a trip to the McCanns' home in the county in December 2024.

Communication data revealed Mrs Spragg had contacted through messaging service to Mrs McCann to say the media had portrayed Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she should be considered genuine in the time leading up to the appearance to Rothley, the county, in December 2024.

The court heard communications between the two accused, in November 2024, considering endeavoring to obtain Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her trash or from silverware at a dining venue.

"We need to make a stand," Mrs Spragg told Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the appearance to their house, Mrs Spragg transmitted a text which said: "We find ourselves sitting adjacent to the McCanns' home with our headlights off resembling detectives. I desired to do this with someone else I didn't imagine I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."
